Quoting from my RSS feed from MSNBC.com:
“Pope Benedict XVI canonized five new saints Sunday, including a 19th century priest for work with leprosy patients on a Hawaiian island.”
To which I would add in the current climate of agenda-driven but meaningless recognitions:
“The Pope notably omitted from canonization, for the time being at least, that other remarkable Hawaiian, Nobel Laureate Barack Hussein Obama.”

That’s pretty funny!! Maybe in another couple of centuries he’ll be due 🙂 sjt
Maybe, yes. However, with the reputation of the American society for wanting instant gratification, it may well be that Obama’s Catholic supporters will be lobbying the Pope to speed up the process.
